The ARCEM Heavy Gorget is designed for practitioners who want maximum protection of the neck and larynx.
Based on the ARCEM Light Gorget, this version is taller, with an articulated construction offering a double layer of hard protection, without sacrificing mobility.
The outer shell is pre-drilled on both sides to allow for additional clavicle or shoulder protectors to be added (not yet available, but you are free to build your own!)
Its strap-less design (it "clips" on around the neck) offers maximum comfort and adaptability to different neck sizes. The plastic can be heated in hot water or with a hair dryer and lightly re-moulded for a custom fit.
Adaptable - can be worn under a jacket or on its own.
- One size
- Articulated double layer construction.
- Hard throat, larynx and cervical spine protection
- Integrated rigid blade catcher
- Mobility and comfort
- Helps to meet competition rules

I was surprised positively: You can use the gorget under your fencing jacket, after some 20 Minutes of getting used to it you just forget it. It is less heating than any other gorget I tried up to now.

A little bit small for me, have to do something about it, so.. that drops one star.. even when it is not the fault of the product. Other wise good quality product.

Very protective, but almost too restrictive in movement. The plates overlap and interact well, but the biggest plate is almost too big from top to bottom. I need to grind it down a bit so I can flex my neck and lower my chin a bit. It is almost too bulky to use with any bib on fencing masks.
